Dentons UKMEA Announces Six New Partner Promotions

May 09, 2014 // Franchising.com // London - Dentons UKMEA is pleased to announce the promotion of six new partners with effect from 1 May 2014. The appointments span three offices, cover five practice areas and bring the total number of partners in the UKMEA region to 157. Today's announcement brings the total number of worldwide partner promotions in Dentons to 34, following promotions by Dentons US, Dentons Canada and Dentons Europe.

Our new partners are:

Mark Bassett (Procurement, London): Mark has extensive experience of public and utilities sector procurement having worked at Manchester City Council and for the Government Legal Service. He has provided procurement advice in the context of high value transactions in a number of sectors including technology, energy, infrastructure, and regeneration.

Peter Cox (Corporate and Commercial, Milton Keynes): Peter's practice covers banking, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, establishing and reorganising businesses, joint ventures, venture capital and private equity investments.

Celia Hayward (Restructuring and Insolvency, London): Celia specialises in general corporate lending, workouts and restructuring matters. She has acted for facility agents, security trustees, senior and mezzanine lenders, steering committees, borrowers, administrators and other key parties in the workout arena.
Thomas Leyland (Dispute Resolution, London): Thomas is a litigator with particular experience of high profile, complex, High Court disputes and associated appeals. He has a broad practice with particular focus on clients from the financial services sector.

Zaher Nammour (Corporate and Commercial, Doha): Zaher has practised law in the Middle East for over thirteen years, including eleven years in Qatar. Zaher has extensive experience in corporate joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, public offerings, private placements and the related regulatory framework.

Eleanor Shanks (Corporate/Private Equity, London): Eleanor's broad transactional practice covers private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, fund investments and equity and debt capital markets, both in domestic and cross-border transactions. She also has extensive experience advising on securities and financial services regulatory matters, including in transactions with a US or other cross-border dimension.
