Franchisee Bill Wortman, who worked with Fransmart's West Coast VP of Sales Al Rowe on closing the deals, will be the development partner for both territories. "We are extremely excited to be associated with Bowl Of Heaven," said Wortman. "My wife and I tried one of the delicious bowls and were instant fans. Their unsurpassed product quality, attention to detail and wholesome corporate culture is a perfect fit for us. We believe this 'cleaner eating' wave is the new direction for restaurant fare."
He also said, "Vegas is a ripe market for fast casual concepts, and a logical next step for a brand based in California."
Bowl Of Heaven is expanding across the country through a combination of company and franchise owned stores– starting with their home state of California where they have already signed other franchise deals for Northern California and Santa Clara County, and recently opened a new company store in Newport Beach.
About Bowl of Heaven
Bowl of Heaven serves of fresh Açaí bowls - healthy treats made with both fresh and frozen fruits, super fruits, and healthy toppings like organic granola and honey – which are considered the future of the frozen treats industry. These bowls, which are currently popular in Brazil and Hawaii, do not use any dairy or added sugars, are filled with nutrition and antioxidants, and due to the superfood traits of the açaí berry can fill you up and energize you for hours on a mere 500 calories!
The concept was conceived by Dan McCormick and his son-in-law, Brandon Beazer, who both fell in love with açaí bowls when they experienced them out in Hawaii, and longed for a way that they could enjoy the exotic fruit bowls back home in California. In 2010, they opened the first Bowl of Heaven location and accomplished this mission!
Bowl of Heaven is a winning combination of the health benefits of the açaí bowl's ingredients and the wide consumer appeal of frozen desserts and smoothies.
