Coldwell Banker and MLB.com Debut Custom Online Video Series Featuring Active and Former Major League Baseball Stars

CC Sabathia, Adam Jones, Johnny Damon and Steve Garvey among those opening their homes to viewers of the Coldwell Banker Home Field Advantage series.

May 13, 2014 // Franchising.com // MADISON, N.J.  - Baseball and home have a lot in common. From high school all the way to the Major League, each team enjoys the aspects of a unique "home" field, the game's best sluggers mash "home" runs, and every base runner's singular goal is simply to arrive safe at "home." With so much overlap between America's pastime and the American Dream, Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, partnered to produce an online video series entitled Home Field Advantage. The new series will explore what "home" means to active and former baseball stars by offering a rare look into the places they call home when they're not on the field.

"Through this partnership with MLB.com and some of the biggest names in baseball, Coldwell Banker continues to showcase emotional attachment people have to their homes," said Sean Blankenship, senior vice president, marketing for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. "With the new online video series, viewers get a glimpse into the home lives of a group of baseball icons."

Coldwell Banker® is the first real estate brand to partner with MLB.com to create a custom online video series. The Home Field Advantage series will debut May 14 on a special section of the Coldwell Banker Blue Matter blog. Each video will also be featured on MLB.com and the official website of each player's team at different points throughout the MLB season. The series launches with two separate videos of players offering a tour of their residence and sharing with viewers what makes their house a home. One of the launch videos will feature CC Sabathia of the New York Yankees; the other will spotlight Neil Walker of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Following the release of the Sabathia and Walker videos, a new Home Field Advantage entry will debut on the Coldwell Banker Blue Matter blog and MLB.com every Wednesday through the month of July, with the exception of July 16. With this year's MLB All-Star Game in Minnesota on July 15, Coldwell Banker Real Estate and MLB.com will release a special All-Star Game edition Home Field Advantage segment on Monday, July 14. The special video entry is scheduled to feature Minnesota native and Twins pitcher, Glen Perkins.
