Wheel Fun Rentals Offers Free Rentals to Nonprofit Organizations

"Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals"

May 14, 2014 // Franchising.com // Minneapolis, MN - Wheel Fun Rentals announces it will be offering FREE recreational rentals this summer to nonprofit organizations within the Twin Cities metro area! Between June 4th and August 27th, Wheel Fun Rentals will donate rental equipment, completely free of charge, to two charities every Wednesday.

Officially named "Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals" this program offers local charities their choice of the following activities for free: mini golf at Malt-Tees in Richfield, watercrafts at Lake Calhoun, or Surrey bikes at Minnehaha Falls. The program accommodates two nonprofit groups each Wednesday with up to 20 participants in each group. Reservations are required, and dates book up fast. Nonprofits are encouraged to make their reservation as soon as possible by calling (877) 273-2453 or emailing wheelfunrentals@gmail.com.

"We already offer free bike rentals to Big Brother Big Sister volunteers as well as donate gift certificates to local schools and charity organizations," says Rodney Knight, local Franchise Owner. "But for this program, we felt compelled to do more for our community."

Nonprofits can choose to hit the links for a free round of mini golf at Malt-Tees Mini Golf at Veteran’sMemorial Park in Richfield. After a round of golf, the group can check out the rest of the park’s outdoor pools and slides, as well as the Malt-Tees Concession and Ice Cream stand.

Groups may take on Lake Calhoun, instead, with one of Wheel Fun Rentals’ water products, including two- and four-seat pedal boats, kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards. Circled by bike and walking trails, Lake Calhoun is popular for many outdoor activities, like canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, sailing, and biking. Wheel Fun Rentals provides the perfect opportunity to take a captivating journey across the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes.

Lastly, nonprofits could choose to take an adventure on a Single or Double Surrey through Minnehaha Falls, a 193-acre park, featuring a 53-foot waterfall, limestone bluffs, and river overlooks. Paved trails meander through the entire park, making it easy to navigate through on one of Wheel Fun Rentals’ unique Surreys.

The "Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals" program is the perfect opportunity for nonprofits to thank their volunteers, show appreciation to donors, or use as a group and teambuilding event for staff.
