Prominent Health Care Attorney Saqib Ishaq Joins Roetzel & Andress

May 16, 2014 // Franchising.com // Saqib Ishaq, a well-established health law and health care compliance attorney, has joined the Orlando office as a partner in the Health Care Industry Group. He was most recently a shareholder with Gray Robinson in Orlando.

"He is well recognized in the field for his proven track record in all aspects of health care compliance law and litigation, in addition to health facility and practice operations."

Mr. Ishaq has established a strong regional reputation as a skilled health law and health care compliance attorney. During his career, he has served as general counsel to a number of health systems, including two not-for-profit, legislatively created hospital districts. In addition, he recently conducted an internal Medicare compliance investigation for a Fortune 500 managed care company. He also represents numerous other health care providers, including nursing homes, physician practices, home health agencies and laboratories, providing guidance in a multitude of issues ranging from corporate compliance program development, implementation and litigation, to medical staff policies and disputes, joint commission accreditation and physician recruitment contracting and disputes.

At Roetzel, Mr. Ishaq is working with an expanding team of outstanding health law and compliance attorneys. Our attorneys deliver a wide array of legal skills coupled with a thorough knowledge of the industry and a keen understanding of new developments and their implications.

Mr. Ishaq earned his J.D. from Florida State University. He also holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Economics from Florida State. Active in both professional and civic organizations, Mr. Ishaq is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Health Care Compliance Association, the American Bar Association’s Antitrust, Litigation and Health Law Sections, the Indian American Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida.
