Westborough’s Paul Reilly Named Chief Executive Officer of ActiveRx

Founder Matt Essex Assumes Full-Time Duties as Chairman of the Board to Focus on Strategic Alliances, Research & Development

May 27, 2014 // Franchising.com // CHANDLER, Ariz. - Paul Reilly has been named chief executive officer of ActiveRx, a Chandler, Ariz.-based company that owns and operates a rapidly growing network of Active Aging Centers that provide preventative healthcare services to thousands of mature adults throughout the country, according to Matt Essex, founder and chairman of the board.

Reilly will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's business operations.

In conjunction with Reilly's appointment, Essex announced he will assume the position of Chairman of the Board and focus on research and development, development of strategic alliances, and enhancement of the company's intellectual property, innovation and research.

Reilly joined ActiveRx in 2012 as regional director for New England and Virginia, and spearheaded one of the company's most successful Active Aging Center launches in Westborough, Mass. in 2013. Prior to joining ActiveRx, Reilly spent 17 years with Boston Scientific's Cardiovascular Division in a variety of sales leadership and management roles.

A native of Rhode Island, Reilly graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1989 and served as an engineer officer in the U.S. Army. He and his wife family reside in Westborough.

Essex said, "Paul Reilly is the perfect individual to lead our company into its next phase of development, He has a thorough understanding of the ActiveRx business model through his success in introducing ActiveRx in the greater Boston market."

As he steps into his new position, Reilly said he looks forward "to optimizing the profitability of each one of our centers, in addition to expanding franchise development efforts, and raising additional capital to expand the ActiveRx footprint nationwide."
