Ask-Carol! Senior Living Guidance Announces First Virginia Franchisee

Tinton Falls, NJ (PRWEB) May 31, 2014 - Ask-Carol! Senior Living Guidance, with headquarters in Tinton Falls, NJ, announced the award of its first franchise in the state of Virginia to Susan and Michael Kofler, principals of SMK Senior Living Advisors LLC of Alexandria.

Ask-Carol!, http://www.ask-carol.com, has served the assisted living industry the past four years, matching seniors needing help with their activities of daily living to the facilities most appropriate for their physical, mental, and financial needs. Ask-Carol! is expanding its franchise program nationwide, beginning with the Middle Atlantic and Northeastern states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. Other states including Maryland, New York and Connecticut will be added later this year, followed by the Midwestern states.

The new franchisee, SMK, has over twenty years of experience in the senior living industry and will begin offering assisted living referral services in Fairfax County, Arlington County, and the City of Alexandria, all in Virginia, beginning in early June.

To assure uniform high quality, all Ask-Carol! franchisees must qualify through personal experience with seniors within their own families, prior employment in the senior care industry, or willingness to become a Certified Senior Advisor through the nationally-known Society of Certified Senior Advisors.

The over-65 population will double over the next twenty years and ever-healthier generations of seniors will need help that they cannot obtain at home. Prior to about 1975, many seniors went to nursing homes, but today a large percentage of them who need some help can live out their lives in assisted living with their peers.

Assisted living is often described as similar to a resort hotel, but with the addition of medical and non-medical care. The facilities provide apartments, living areas, meals, housekeeping, activities, and even trips to doctors, churches, and shopping. Pricing varies substantially, but with help most families can find an affordable facility.

Just as hotels rely upon travel agencies to fill their rooms, assisted living facilities utilize referral agencies to do the same. Ask-Carol! is one of the most respected of those referral agencies, working with many of the nationwide providers of assisted living.

Franchisees select territories based on population, nearby medical centers, high-quality assisted living facilities, and a large senior population. Franchisees can work from home, keeping their costs low. Persons interested may contact the company through http://www.ask-carol.com/franchises or 732-200-1311.
