Linda Svitak Named to Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal Women in Business

Minneapolis - MAY 30, 2014 - Faegre Baker Daniels partner and management board member Linda Svitak has been named one of 50 honored businesswomen in the Twin Cities by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as part of the publication's annual Women in Business list.

Svitak co-leads FaegreBD's medical device and pharmaceutical litigation practice area, and is a member of the firm's management board. As a trial lawyer, she focuses on mass tort and product liability defense with a particular emphasis on litigation involving medical devices and pharmaceuticals. A member of the management board since 2008, Svitak is one of 15 members from around the country who are responsible for the strategic direction of the firm.

Svitak was also recognized for her community achievements, particularly for her strong advocacy for diversity and equality within and outside the firm. She co-founded FaegreBD's Women's Forum for Achievement, an entity that promotes women's professional success through career development and networking. She also works on many of the firm's pro bono projects, and is involved with the International Association of Defense Council.

"Linda is a tremendous role model for women at the firm," said FaegreBD partner and executive committee member Kathy Noecker. "She has accomplished much in all areas of her life – representing clients as national trial lawyer in high-profile matters, serving in firm leadership, and remaining active in the lives of her children."

Svitak received her undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College and her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law.
