Roetzel Continues Expansion in the Health Care Field with Addition of Attorney Harold B. Hilborn

June 03, 2014 // Franchising.com // Harold B. Hilborn, a well-established Chicago-area litigator, has joined Roetzel's Chicago office as Counsel in the firm's Health Care, Drug & Pharmacy Industry Group. He was most recently a partner with Varga Berger Ledsky Hayes & Casey.

"Harold will make another great addition to our health care team," said Ned Milenkovich, head of the firm's Health Care, Drug & Pharmacy Industry Group. "He brings to the group a broad-based experience as a litigator that will enhance the depth of our team."

During his legal career, Mr. Hilborn has obtained several substantial jury verdicts and settlements for clients ranging from motor manufacturers to national retailers. Mr. Hilborn's health care litigation experience includes the representation of a hospital in a warranty dispute with a manufacturer of surgical equipment and a contract dispute with a consultant who assisted in the design of a Medicaid HMO. His background runs the gamut of complex litigation matters including real estate, employment contracts and discrimination, and consumer financial services disputes, including under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Truth in Lending Act.

At Roetzel, Mr. Hilborn is joining an expanding team of outstanding health law and compliance attorneys. He will work with other attorneys to assist clients in addressing the multifaceted and complex issues that face a wide range of health care industry organizations, personnel, and ancillary health care service providers including hospitals, physician groups, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and medical device inventors, manufacturers, distributors, and third-party logistics providers, among others.

Mr. Hilborn earned his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. He also holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
