Anheuser-Busch and Tilted Kilt Join Forces for 4th Annual "Here's to Heroes" Fundraiser

Tilted Kilt Sets Military Fundraiser Goal for the Folds of Honor Foundation at $100,000

TEMPE, AZ -  June 05, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ - In honor of Memorial Day, Budweiser and Tilted Kilt are kicking off their 4th annual fundraising program, "Here's to Heroes" on May 26th- July 4th. The fundraiser is designed to raise money for the Folds of Honor Foundation which seeks to provide educational scholarships to family members and dependents of fallen or injured soldiers.

For a six week period, customers are given an opportunity to purchase a $1.00 or $5.00 paper dog tag to be personally customized and displayed on the pub walls. Last year, Tilted Kilt independently raised $65,000. In addition, Anheuser-Busch contributed $10,000 to make the total donation over $75,000, nearly quadrupling the amount raised during the 2012 campaign.

With much success in the past and a strengthened partnership with Anheuser-Busch and the Folds of Honor Foundation, Titled Kilt has set its donation goal even higher for 2014, hoping to contribute $100,000. The company continues to redefine the notion of a modern sports pub as one that cares about foundations that affect its valued customers.

"We are thrilled to be involved in such an honorable campaign to give back to the service men and women and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can enjoy our freedom," said Ron Lynch, President of Tilted Kilt. "Our pubs are the perfect atmosphere for this fundraiser because our staff and customers come together to support a cause they all truly believe in."

According to the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. has active duty military troops stationed in nearly 150 countries, with over 100,000 serving outside the U.S. and its territories in addition to over 100,000 deployed in various contingency operations. As stories of fallen and injured soldiers continue to make headlines, this opportunity allows for pubs and guests to give back to the men and women who continue to serve our country while dining at the Tilted Kilt.

"We anticipate a tremendous amount of effort and support from our staff and loyal customers in reaching our donation goal and are excited to make this year's fundraising efforts our biggest ever," added Lynch.

The "Here's to Heroes" fundraiser is active from May 26th - July 4th To locate your nearest Tilted Kilt, visit http://www.tiltedkilt.com.
