Local Couple Opens New Metal Supermarkets Location in Grand Rapids Area

Grand Rapids, MI - June 18, 2014 - (PR.com) - Metal Supermarkets, the world’s largest supplier of small quantity metals, opened its first franchise location in Michigan on June 2, 2014. Long-time local residents Brian Fojtik and his wife Karen will be providing area businesses and consumers with superior customer service and the highest quality metal products available. Customers can buy any size or type of metal they need, quickly and easily, and with no minimum order requirement.

"We are excited to expand our company’s footprint into Michigan and look forward to working with Brian and Karen to further develop the Metal Supermarkets brand," says Stephen Schober, Metal Supermarkets President and CEO. "Being the first Metal Supermarkets location in the West Michigan area, the Grand Rapids store is in a great position to thrive."

Prior to becoming a Metal Supermarkets franchisee, Brian worked at Amway for 25 years. Brian was a Mechanical Engineer, Plant Manager and Project Manager before exploring franchising opportunities. Brian and his wife investigated numerous franchise opportunities before ultimately deciding Metal Supermarkets was the right choice.

"I have been in the industry for over 30 years and often I would have a need for small quantities of metal," says Brian. "Once I discovered Metal Supermarkets and learned about their business model I knew that the Grand Rapids market could definitely benefit by such a service. The larger metal suppliers are setup to handle large volumes of metal in standard sizes and lengths. Metal Supermarkets cuts any metal to the customer’s specifications, fast and with no minimum order size."
