Cosi® Now Serves Naturally-Raised Chicken with No Antibiotics Added
CEO RJ Dourney says company continues in commitment to doing the right thing for our guests.
July 01, 2014 // Franchising.com // Boston, MA - Cosi, Inc. (NASDAQ: COSI), the fast-casual restaurant company, today announced that it will now serve naturally-raised chicken with no added antibiotics.
"This chicken is a game-changer for Cosi and for our guests," said RJ Dourney, President and CEO of Cosi. "Not only does it offer the great nutrition that our guests are increasingly demanding, the taste and texture of the new chicken is simply terrific."

We have now gone a step further because it is the right thing to do for our guests in support of our commitment to serving the highest quality products we can for our health-conscious guests," said Jennifer Silviera, VP Supply Chain Management.
In addition to its demand for chicken that provides great nutrition, Cosi insisted that the taste of the chicken was equally important. "Our customers don't want to settle. They come to Cosi for a premium experience. We knew our chicken had to meet our high standards for quality while maintaining an exceptional taste. I can't tell you how many hundreds of pieces of chicken our culinary team tasted until we found just the right product," said Dourney.
Cosi's new chicken is now available in its restaurants in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas and Michigan. Other Cosi locations in the USA will follow by July 30, 2014.
