Canton, Ga. – June 25, 2014 - Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint, the hottest, and fastest growing, pizza franchise continues to grow in Georgia with the opening in Canton, Ga, a suburb of Atlanta. The original, premium fast casual pizza chain will open its 20th unit at 2026 Cumming Highway, adjacent to the Canton Marketplace Shopping Center.

The first of three locations slated for Cherokee County, Uncle Maddio's franchise operating partners Kevin and Susan Johnston bring more than sixty years of combined professional experience in hospitality, Corporate Real Estate and medical education to their new family-owned business. Kevin is the VP/GM of Low Country Catering (formerly Low Country BBQ) in Atlanta, and Susan has experience as a registered nurse and clinical medical educator. They are working with an experienced team, led by General Manager Christie Jones, a veteran of the Five Guys organization. Assistant General Manager Josh Johnston rounds out the dedicated team with his 18 years in restaurant operations management, primarily working with Schlotzkey's Deli.

Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint features fresh ingredients including locally-grown vegetables available to top customized pizza, salad and panini creations. Uncle Maddio's features create-your-own 9-inch individual pizza with up to three toppings, baked to order, for $6.99. Guests choose one of three crusts, including traditional, whole wheat and gluten-free, and 48 topping choices, which include six exclusively made sauces, 27 vegetables and 15 meats. Exclusive, homemade recipes ensure meals at Uncle Maddio's are healthy and delicious. From the pizza dough that is made in-store each day to the homemade sauces and salad dressings, Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint prepares each customized meal specifically for each customer – healthy or indulgent. The Uncle Maddio's menu also features chef-prepared Signature pizzas, salads and paninis, along with "take and bake" options for the Uncle Maddio's experience at home.

The Uncle Maddio's menu features a full menu of salads such as Greek, Chicken Caesar, and Santa Fe, as well as a unlimited choices for salads selecting from a variety of fresh greens, vegetables. Uncle Maddio's also prepares toasted panini sandwiches, including choice creations such as Maddio's Steak and Cheese, Basil Chicken, Tuscan Meatball, Turkey Bacon Cheddar and more.

For those with dietary restrictions or specifications, Uncle Maddio's serves up healthful options like whole wheat and gluten-free crusts, hormone-free chicken, fresh local vegetables, Daiya vegan cheese and organic greens.
