July 15, 2014 // Franchising.com // AUSTIN, Texas - The rapidly expanding custom sushi shop, How Do You Roll?, announced today their plans to expand to the Chicago, Illinois and Fort Myers, Florida areas later this year. Two restaurants will open in Chicago, one inside the Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the other inside the Palmer House hotel, and one restaurant will open on Wittman Drive in Fort Myers, giving local sushi fans an opportunity to create their own rolls in ten minutes or less for a reasonable price.
"We are excited to broaden our How Do You Roll? family to the Chicago and Fort Myers communities," said Yuen Yung, chief executive officer. "Breaking into the Illinois market will make this our fifth state to franchise in and we couldn’t be more thrilled."
How Do You Roll? offers a modern twist to the traditional Japanese cuisine. Consumers build their own sushi rolls by choosing from many unique ingredient choices. Newcomers to sushi, and those who shy away from raw fish, will be surprised to find chicken and beef, whereas sushi aficionados can enjoy more typical-to-sushi options. How Do You Roll? also offers gluten-free and vegetarian ingredients in addition to a full menu including appetizers, salads, noodle bowls and deserts.
Founded in Austin, Texas, by brothers Yuen and Peter Yung, How Do You Roll? is an Asian fast-casual franchise that began in 2008. Currently in four different states, How Do You Roll? plans to open restaurants internationally in Canada and the Middle East. How Do You Roll? prides itself on conducting quick service, encouraging consumer creativity and offering a variety of healthy foods.
