Valpak of Omaha Wins Small Business of the Month Award From Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce

July 10, 2014 // Franchising.com // OMAHA, NE - Valpak of Omaha has been named The Small Business of The Month in the region for the month of July by The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. The local Valpak franchise was nominated by several of their clients over the past months and was chosen by a committee of stellar local business leaders.

"We are more than excited to be awarded with the Small Business of the Month Award," said Farkas "It is a huge deal and an honor to be chosen by such an esteemed group of business owners."

"It's humbling," Farkas told the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. "When you look through the list of companies that have won in the past, you don't see a lot of direct marketing companies," said Farkas, who owns and operates Valpak of Omaha with his wife, Mimi Rogers. "But you do see a lot of people we've done business with."

Valpak of Omaha is in its tenth year and mails to 190,000 upscale homes in Omaha monthly, with 115 mailings since they started in January 2005. The franchise is ranked among the top Valpak offices in North America. In 2010 its sales team was Valpak Corporate's Sales Team of The Year.

"This allows us to offer a 360-degree suite of results," Farkas said. "We can serve you with print, but we also provide some incredible services online where we're not just putting you on a website, we're putting you on more than 100 websites. We're putting you on a mobile platform that's one of the strongest out there. When you put those together, your reach is crazy."

Farkas and Rogers are active in the community, with Rogers a member of the Southwest Omaha Rotary Night Club. Valpak of Omaha also actively supports local sports teams including the Omaha Lancers Hockey team, and Creighton Athletics will be on the August Valpak envelope.

Valpak will be recognized on August 15 at the next Omaha Chamber Board Meeting and will now be one of the nominees for Small Business of The Year, which will be announced in early 2015.
