To Satisfy Cravings for More Tastes of the French Countryside

Adored Bakery Café Brand to Raise Money for Children's Hunger Fund at Grand Opening Event

July 17, 2014 // Franchising.com // Kingstowne, Virg. – Kingstowne, and its nearby residents and businesses, welcome the arrival of la Madeleine Country French Café. The refined fast casual experience offers signature French-inspired recipes that are handcrafted and made to order in a warm and relaxing ambiance.

Situated at Kingstowne Shopping Center, one of Northern Virginia's most attractive and well-trafficked shopping centers the distinguished, French-inspired bakery café welcomes all to take a momentary break and unwind without the rush of the day in their way. La Madeleine offers a one-of-a-kind experience filled with French-inspired, craveable tastes, aromas and an inviting atmosphere to enjoy a meal with family, friends and colleagues. The café also features an open display bakery where guests can see pastry chefs creating beautiful tarts, cakes and other pâtisseries.

"Opening our new Kingstowne café continues the momentum we are building throughout Metropolitan Washington, D.C.," said John Cahill, chief operating officer at la Madeleine, who is also guiding the company's upcoming opening in Alexandria in July. "The new café exemplifies our growth and the loyalty of our la Madeleine guests. Northern Virginia has a strong affinity for the brand and we are happy to bring la Madeleine to Kingstowne."

The Kingstowne location is la Madeleine's fifth in Northern Virginia, and ninth in Metropolitan Washington D.C., joining another nearby café in Alexandria (500 King Street). The design reflects the brand's new layout and décor, which unites comfort with the French country atmosphere – the signature la Madeleine motif. Wood floors, hearth fireplaces, rustic beams and a lighter color palette all accentuate the brand's updated look and feel. La Madeleine has also enhanced its seating options, which now include banquette seating, a custom-built family table and high-top table that seats 12. Guests who would like to enjoy sitting outdoors, can take advantage of the patio with a shaded pergola.

Known for its signature tomato basil soup and chicken Caesar salade, la Madeleine serves freshly prepared, handcrafted menu items such as omelettes and quiche for breakfast, homemade soupes, salades and sandwiches for lunch, and dinner entrées, savory crêpes and pastas, as well as authentic French pâtisseries, viennoiserie and breads. The café also offers catering service for local businesses, community gatherings, parties and events.

La Madeleine at Kingstowne Shopping Center welcomes guests to experience delectable country French cuisine and its warm, inviting ambiance daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, carryout service or to book a catered or hosted event, or visit www.lamadeleine.com.

About la Madeleine Country French Café

Dallas-based la Madeleine Country French Café was established in 1983 by self-described "French country boy" Patrick Esquerré to fulfill his dream of bringing classic French country fare to America.
