TGA Premier Youth Tennis Launches First Franchise in the State of Oregon

Former banking executive brings innovative school-based program in partnership with USTA to southern Oregon.

July 22, 2014 // Franchising.com // Medford, OR – TGA Premier Youth Tennis (TGA), the national after-school youth sports franchise company, has established its first franchise territory in the state of Oregon.

Jeremiah Paladino, a former banking executive, has acquired the geographic rights to TGA Premier Youth Tennis in southern Oregon, which will cover the Medford and Eugene areas.

TGA's innovative school-based activation model and tennis enrichment curriculum was developed in partnership with the United States Tennis Association (USTA). The program introduces the sport in schools and supports the USTA's "10-and-Under Tennis" initiative before transitioning them to USTA programs, tennis facilities and USPTA Professionals nationwide.

Paladino has been an active tennis player most of his life and developed a strong passion for the sport after his mother introduced it to him at age five. That passion carried through college at Missouri State University when he worked teaching the sport of tennis to youth.

"I discovered TGA while doing some research for a project I was working on for my local Rotary Club," Paladino said. "I got very excited about the opportunity to be able to take my passion for tennis and make an impact on the lives of kids the way I was impacted when I was young."

Prior to acquiring the new TGA business, Paladino was a banking executive who worked 10 years for Wells Fargo and three years for KeyBank.

"Jeremiah's passion for tennis and experience working with youth will aid him developing a successful and sustaining business that will enrich the lives of youth and grow tennis participation in his community," said Joshua Jacobs, CEO of TGA. "Our continued growth and USTA support in developing our business model is very exciting for the future growth of tennis throughout communities nationwide."

TGA Premier Youth Tennis of Southern Oregon is expected to engage thousands of participants by introducing the sport to children at elementary and middle schools, child care centers and community based organizations via a multi-level instruction curriculum that includes physical fitness, health and nutrition, education and character building.

"Bringing TGA tennis enrichment programs to the Medford and Eugene area schools and communities is a wonderful opportunity teach youth values they can apply to the rest of their lives," Paladino said. "Once the kids realize they are enjoying what they are learning they will be hooked for years and filling up community tennis courts and playing in USTA events."
