ServiceMaster Restore by Angler Participates in Fire House Poker Run for Charity

Dayton, OH (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 - ServiceMaster franchises are not only dedicated to serving their communities with quality disaster restoration and cleaning services, but also to giving to the community by participating in charitable events. ServiceMaster Restore by Angler recently participated in the first annual Fire House Poker Run held in Greene County Ohio to benefit child victims of domestic violence. This event was held on Saturday July 19 and was organized by First Responders and Bikers Advocating Against Abuse (FRABAAA) to help raise funds for the “Shoe Barn Project” which provides shoes for children through the Greene County Children Services or the Family Violence Prevention Center. ServiceMaster Restore by Angler donated food to the Spring Valley Township Fire Station to feed the bikers participating in this event.

About the Fire House Poker Run

The Fire House Poker Run is a motorcycle ride from fire house to fire house in Greene County that begins at Buckminn’s D and D Harley Davidson in Xenia, OH. Bikers ride from one fire house to the next through the scenic countryside of Greene County that includes stops at the Cedarville, New Jasper, Silvercreek, Jefferson, Xenia, and Spring Valley fire departments. Several of these fire houses can be driven through on motorcycles as if they are covered bridges. Each fire station presents awards to the top three hands in the poker game as well as a Fire House award for the worst hand. The ride ends at Willie’s Bar in Xenia where there is an after party featuring raffles and entertainment. Willie’s donated 10 percent of their profits from this event to the fundraiser.
