GNC Launches In-store Fundraising Event to Support Pressley Ridge's Programs to Keep Children and Families Together

Customers Who Make Donations in August will be Rewarded with a $10-off Coupon for September

PITTSBURGH - Aug. 1, 2014 // PRNewswire // - GNC Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: GNC), the nation's largest specialty retailer of health and wellness products, will reward customers who make in-store donations to Pressley Ridge, a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit, in August with a $10 coupon for any order over $50 made in September. The innovative fund-raising event will take place in approximately 100 corporate GNC stores across areas in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio and Virginia that are served by Pressley Ridge.

Pressley Ridge provides multiple services to keep children and families together under challenging circumstances, including foster care, crisis respite, education and autism. Donations from individuals are a vital source of funding for Pressley Ridge, which notes that even a $25 gift can give a child a start in building a successful life as an adult and a $50 gift can help a teen finish high school and go to college.

"This is our way of encouraging customers whose communities benefit from Pressley Ridge's many programs to show their support with in-store donations," said Joseph Fortunato, Chairman, President and CEO of GNC. "Because of the work that this amazing organization does, thousands of children and their families benefit each year from the care and opportunities provided by an extremely dedicated and caring staff. We encourage GNC customers to join GNC in supporting Pressley Ridge in all it does."
