Pinot's Palette Partners With CBS Films for "What If" Theatrical Release

Leading Paint-and-Sip Franchise Hosts "Perfect Pairing" Night and Contest

August 04, 2014 // Franchising.com // HOUSTON - Pinot's Palette is teaming with CBS Films to create a new date-night promotion in connection with the release of the romantic comedy movie, "What If," in select theaters Aug. 8. Starring Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan, the national chain of paint-and-sip studios will host "What If / Perfect Pairing" nights at participating locations nationwide throughout the month of August.

"At Pinot's Palette our mission is to provide a fun and entertaining night out and create memories for all who attend," said CEO and Co-Founder Craig Ceccanti. "The unique partnership with 'What If' is another creative way to enhance our guests' experience by pairing the leading paint-and-sip studio with a film studio for a one-of-a-kind event promoting a movie that will resonate perfectly with our guests."

In addition to enjoying an evening of art and wine, Pinot's Palette guests will be able to enter the "Perfect Pairings" in store trivia game for a chance to win free movie passes and more. "City Love" by Natalie Wells will be the featured painting during the promotion.

Pinot's Palette guests also will be encouraged to upload favorite photos with their best friend or significant other at www.PerfectPairingsContest.com for a chance to win Pinot's Palette and movie ticket gift cards.

"There are certainly natural synergies between our customer base and the 'What If' movie," Ceccanti said. "We have a number of stories of our guests meeting their partner or becoming engaged at one of our studios. 'What If' speaks to what Pinot's Palette is about: creating memories and fostering connections between people."

In select theaters across the country beginning August 8th, "What If" is the story of medical school dropout Wallace (Daniel Radcliffe), who's been repeatedly burned by bad relationships. So while everyone around him, including his friend Allan (Adam Driver), seems to be finding the perfect partner (Mackenzie Davis), Wallace decides to put his love life on hold. It is then that he meets Chantry (Zoe Kazan), an animator who lives with her longtime boyfriend Ben (Rafe Spall). Wallace and Chantry form an instant connection, striking up a close friendship. Still, there is no denying the chemistry between them, leading the pair to wonder, what if the love of your life is actually your best friend? The ensemble romantic comedy costars Megan Park and Oona Chaplin.
