August 06, 2014 // Franchising.com // Congratulations to Gray Plant Mooty attorney Nick Nierengarten, who was appointed last week to the Minnesota Supreme Court’s Civil Rules Advisory Committee. The committee, which reviews rules of civil procedure and proposes amendments to those rules, includes civil practice attorneys, judges and court administrators among its members.

The committee will hold its first meeting in September. Among its initial topics of interest, the committee will review civil rules and propose amendments pertaining to electronic filing and service accommodations in the district courts.

Nick is a principal at GPM and brings almost 30 years of insurance law experience to the committee. He regularly represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes and regulatory proceedings. In addition to this appointment, he was recently elected to serve as a fellow of the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel.
