Taft Grows Government Relations Team - Michael Leppert Joins Taft
August 22, 2014 // Franchising.com // Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that Michael Leppert has joined the firm's government relations team as director of public affairs.
In this position, Leppert will lobby on behalf of Taft's clients before the Indiana General Assembly and the state of Indiana's administrative agencies. He will also advise clients on issue management, coalition building and business planning.
"Mike brings 25 years of experience in and around state government to Taft. With his background in the utility and telecommunications arena, he brings extensive experience to better serve Taft clients in this growing practice. We are excited to add him to our team," said Mark Palmer, partner and chair of Taft's Indianapolis government relations team.
After working more than 12 years in state government, the last five as the executive director of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, Leppert has had a successful tenure in the private sector as a government relations consultant. He was a founding partner of The Corydon Group, LLC and most recently served as president of Clark Quinn Public Affairs, LLC.
