September 03, 2014 // Franchising.com // Newport Beach, CA - Bowl of Heaven - the innovative concept which serves up delicious açaí bowls, smoothies and cold pressed juices which feature plant protein and super food ingredients - has announced the signing of a new multi-unit franchise deal with an existing franchisee for Southern California and Las Vegas, NV.
Franchisee Bill Wortman, who worked with Fransmart's West Coast VP of Sales Al Rowe on closing his deals, originally signed two 5-unit deals, one for each of his territories, in April 2014. He proceeded to sign a deal for an additional 30 units in July, for territories including Orange County, San Diego and Los Angeles, CA.
Bowl of Heaven has been working with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries, to expand their growing footprint and 'feed the addiction' of more and more consumers.
Although Wortman's move is unprecedented for the Bowl Of Heaven franchise system thus far, it comes as no surprise that franchisees are eager to acquire as much territory as possible. Rowe, who has been a representative of the brand since they first partnered with Fransmart, said, “In regards to the younger brands in Fransmart's portfolio, Bowl Of Heaven has seen some of the strongest traction and most deal closings of any that I've worked with.”
Wortman is an avid proponent of the Bowl Of Heaven concept, calling their product quality in a previous statement 'unsurpassed', and saying he believes cleaner eating is the new direction for restaurant fare.
Bowl of Heaven is a revolutionary fast casual concept as it is poised to overtake various segments in the space including healthy meal replacements, clean eating and cold pressed juicing.
Feed Your Addiction!
Bowl of Heaven serves up fresh Açaí bowls - healthy meals made with both fresh and frozen fruits, super fruits, and healthy toppings like organic granola and honey - which are considered the future of delicious fast casual meal replacements. These bowls, which are currently popular in Brazil and Hawaii, do not use any dairy or added sugars, are filled with nutrition and antioxidants, and due to the superfood traits of the açaí berry can fill you up and energize you for hours on a mere 500 calories!
The concept was conceived by Dan McCormick and his son-in-law, Brandon Beazer, who both fell in love with açaí bowls when they experienced them out in Hawaii, and longed for a way that they could enjoy the exotic fruit bowls back home in California. In 2010, they opened the first Bowl of Heaven location and accomplished this mission!
Bowl of Heaven is a winning combination of the health benefits of the super food ingredients and the wide consumer appeal of frozen bowls and smoothies. Bowl of Heaven keeps customers coming back for more because they are not only delicious but also make consumers feel good about themselves.
