AAMCO Expands Operations with Super Center in Louisville

"AAMCO Dixie Day" Grand Opening Includes Car Show with Proceeds Going to Kosair Shrine Circus

HORSHAM, Pa. - Sept. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ - AAMCO, the world's largest chain of transmission specialists and leader in total car care, announces the grand opening of an AAMCO super center on 11696 Dixie Highway in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

The Louisville mayor will proclaim September 13 as "AAMCO Dixie Day" and a representative from his office will be on-hand at the grand opening.

To celebrate, AAMCO Dixie will host an array of activities on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. including a car show with games and door prizes, a raffle drawing, live music from Rock Museum and refreshments from various vendors. Khalil's on Dixie Highway will provide meals at a discounted price.

All proceeds from the car show, with a five dollar entry fee, will go directly to Kosair Shrine Circus, where underprivileged children, boy and girl scouts and others are brought to the February 2015 circus at no cost to them.

"We are grateful for the donation from AAMCO, our partner in the community," said J.R. Riggs, circus chairman, Kosair Shrine Circus. "Our sole mission is to take these kids to the circus when they otherwise would not be able to attend, and these additional funds help us meet our mission."

Discounts and coupons from AAMCO will be provided to grand opening attendees.

The new center, the only "super center" in Kentucky, will offer 10 service bays for a broader range of offerings, including transmission repair, rebuilding and replacement, tire alignment, brake service, air conditioning service and repair, all factory recommended maintenance and more. The center plans on hiring at least five more technicians to properly serve its customers.

The center will open for business on Monday, September 15, 2014. The current AAMCO Dixie center will close on September 12, and customers are encouraged to take their vehicles to the new center. Visit Facebook.com/aamcodixie for more.
