First Zaxby's in Fort Myers Hatched Sept. 8 with Grand Opening Celebration

First 100 Guests Received a Zaxby's Fanatic Pack of Free Dealz For A Year*

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 3, 2014) - A Southeast favorite for chicken fingers and wings and one of the nation's fastest-growing restaurant chains, Zaxby's is celebrating the grand opening of its first location in Fort Myers on Monday, Sept. 8 by giving away a Fanatic Pack of 52 free Dealz – meaning a year of free Zaxby's – to the first 100 guests. Located at 11791 S. Cleveland Ave., in the Palm Pointe Shops, the restaurant lobby will operate 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. The drive thru will operate 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Kicking off at 10:30 a.m., the community is invited to the grand opening festivities, and the first 100 guests in line will receive a Zaxby's Fanatic Pack with 52 cards each valid for one week for the dates specified.* Zaxby's new Fanatic Pack of Free Dealz includes menu favorites like a free Meal Deal, a free Milkshake, a free Zappetizer and more. Guests must be in line by 10 a.m. for a chance to receive a free Zaxby's Fanatic Pack.

"We looked into many franchise options and Zaxby's continued to stand out," said Rusti Clinger, co-licensee with partner, Marie Mahan, of the Fort Myers location. "We love everything that Zaxby's has to offer – we love the product, the atmosphere, the family friendliness and the company's values. We knew the brand would be an ideal fit for the Southwest Florida community, allowing us to expand the business and create an additional 225 jobs in the county over the next five years."

With seating for 56, the 3,652 square-foot restaurant will include Zaxby's unique interior design - a bright, open interior décor complemented by custom vintage prints and school memorabilia. Zaxby's also offers drive-thru services to meet the needs of customers on the go.

"We've assembled a great group of team members from the area who will deliver on the Zaxby's mission to 'consistently create encore experiences that enrich lives one person at a time,'" said Clinger. "We believe the restaurant – from the atmosphere to the service – will exceed community expectations."

The first in Lee County, the Fort Myers restaurant is also the first for licensees Clinger and Mahan. Expansion plans for the duo include opening an additional five Zaxby's in the county over the next five years, with the second slated to begin construction at the Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers as early as October and the third planned for Cape Coral. Zaxby's currently operates more than 625 locations in 15 states - Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

An alternative to fast food, Zaxby's offers prepared-at-order chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches and salads. Zaxby's most popular items are its hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz and Traditional or Boneless Wings, smothered in a choice of nine sauces with names like Wimpy, Tongue Torch, Nuclear and Insane.

Fort Myers Zaxby's guests will enjoy The Coca-Cola Company's proprietary drink fountain, Coca-Cola Freestyle®. The sleek, stylish fountain is touch-screen operated, enabling guests to select from more than 100 regular and low-calorie brands – including many varieties of waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages that were not available in the U.S. prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola Freestyle®.

The menu offers innovative Zappetizers like Tater Chips, Spicy Fried Mushrooms and Fried White Cheddar Bites, as well as a variety of Party Platterz perfect for any family gathering or special occasion.

Zaxby's also offers four salads, or Zalads: The House, The Blue, The Caesar and its newest addition, The Cobb. All of Zaxby's Zalads are prepared with chicken, three kinds of lettuce, interesting ingredients – such as French-fried onions – fresh veggies and juicy tomatoes, and are larger than most salads served elsewhere. Zalads are assembled at the time the order is placed, versus being pre-made and stored in a cooler.

Additionally, Zaxby's offers a new line of premium milkshakes, including the popular Birthday Cake and Banana Pudding Milkshakes and the new Chocolate Cookie Milkshake. They are rich and creamy, hand-blended and topped with whipped cream.
