CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That's Hot™ Celebrates Manalapan Grand Opening on September 20

September 17, 2014 // Franchising.com // Manalapan, NJ – CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That's Hot™, the beach-themed self-serve fro-yo concept, will celebrate the grand opening of its 23rd location at 3 pm on Saturday, September 20 at the Towne Pointe Shopping Center, 357 Route 9 in Manalapan, New Jersey. Free frozen yogurt up to four ounces will be offered from 3 – 6 pm.

During the grand opening week, each Manapalan customer will be given a "scratch off" card, which contains prizes such as wristbands, beach balls, sunglasses, water bottles, beach towels and CUPS coupons. One lucky winner will receive free fro-yo for a year.

This is the third location for franchisee, VJP Group. Other locations are in Parsippany and Hillsborough. CUPS has 15 locations in New Jersey.

Since opening the first CUPS in Clifton, New Jersey in 2010, CUPS has taken the fro-yo industry by storm, becoming the local hot spot for teenagers and adults alike who make their own fro-yo concoctions choosing from 24 yogurt flavors and over 50 different toppings and three sauces.

The Exchange, a popular Yahoo Finance blog, named CUPS as one of "The Most Popular Fast-Food Outlets You Haven't Heard Of (Yet)." With 23 locations in New Jersey, New York, California, Virginia and Florida, CUPS is one of the fastest growing frozen yogurt concepts in the U.S. Over the past year, CUPS has signed 10 area development agreements representing 45 franchise units.

According to CUPS co-founder Rick Barbrick, CUPS is much more than great frozen yogurt; CUPS was designed around the experience.

"It's more of a club like experience. We pump out club dance music at volumes that create a highly energetic vibe, a lounge-type design with couches, ottomans and eclectic murals; and Cast Members with infectiously fun personalities. It's the complete experience that gives us that edgy vibe versus an everyday yogurt bar or ice cream shop experience," said Barbrick.

CUPS is located at the Towne Pointe Shopping Center, 357 Route 9 in Manalapan. CUPS is open from Noon to 9:30 pm Sunday through Thursday and from Noon to 10:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.
