USA Insulation Helps Build Home for Cleveland Soldier Wounded in Action

USA Insulation, along with a team of contractors brought together by the Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT), insulates a home for a soldier that was severely wounded by a suicide bomber while on foot patrol in Afghanistan.

Eastlake, OH (PRWEB) September 17, 2014 - When Alex Haworth was called to serve in Afghanistan, he gladly answered the call. When USA Insulation was called to help Alex and his family upon his return, they gladly answered the call as well. The call came from NEOPAT, The Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism, a non-profit organization that provides aid and assistance to armed service personnel and their families in times of need. Alex needed help rebuilding his life and his home.

While on foot patrol, Alex was severely injured and underwent a long, painful recovery. He returned to his family and hometown determined to have their lives return to normalcy. They bought a home in Olmsted Falls, where he grew up, but the home was declared "unlivable" due to undisclosed mold issues. At that point, NEOPAT stepped in and gathered the resources to build a new home on the property.

"NEOPAT called us and asked if we could donate resources to insulate the home," says Patrick Pitrone, president of USA Insulation. "We could not be more honored to help Alex and his family make their dream of a new home come true."

On August 29th, 2014, three USA Insulation trucks arrived at the construction site with insulating materials and a crew of 8 installers. With the help of Appalachian Insulation Supply who donated the materials, they were able to complete the two-story home in just one day. The Haworth’s hope to move into their new home by the end of October.

USA Insulation, America’s largest franchised retrofit insulation company, was founded by Clevelander Jeffrey Pitrone in 1977 and incorporated in 1985. Its national headquarters is in Eastlake, Ohio, with locations throughout the East and Midwest. The company is now run by Jeffrey Pitrone’s son Patrick who resides in the Cleveland area, while the Cleveland franchise is run by Aaron Jais of University Heights. USA Insulation has insulated over 40,000 homes nationwide.

"Insulation is all about making people comfortable in their homes—keeping them warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and lowering their energy bills," says Jais. "Since Alex is still on the road to recovery, we hope to make the Haworth family as comfortable as possible for years and years to come."
