Donatos To Add 200 Jobs In Central Ohio

September 22, 2014 // Franchising.com // COLUMBUS, OHIO - Donatos Pizza announced today plans to add 200 new jobs in Central Ohio in both their Restaurant and Bakery Divisions. The initiative will kick off with a job fair to be held at the following locations:

Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus-Easton

4150 Stelzer Road

Columbus, OH 43230

Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus-Hilliard

3950 Lyman Drive

Hilliard, OH 43026

Columbus State Conference Center (Columbus State Community College)

550 Spring Street

Columbus, OH 43215

Donatos job creation effort will focus on staff and management at the restaurant level as well as key line and lead positions at Jane's Dough Foods, the company's dough and pizza topping operation in Gahanna.

"Our business at all levels has grown significantly in 2014 and we are pleased to be able to contribute to the Central Ohio economy with this strategic effort," said Tom Krouse, Chief Executive Officer of Donatos Pizza.

Donatos has focused on key customer service initiatives at the restaurant, which has resulted in marked improvement in order accuracy and restaurant service times.

Tom Pendrey, Donatos' new Chief Operating Officer as of January 2014, sited operational initiatives, combined with new brand building efforts featuring Jane Grote Abell as the company spokesperson as the reason for consistent double-digit increases is sales and customer counts.

"We price ourselves in offering the very best service and our customers continue to respond," said Pendrey.

Donatos recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and was featured on CBS Undercover Boss last fall, which led to sales and growth in quarter one. Their newest Donatos location at Port Columbus International Airport has quickly become one top producing company restaurants.
