Children's Lighthouse Signs Franchise Agreement to Expand in San Antonio

Seventh Learning Center in Metropolitan San Antonio to Offer More Local Families Educational Childcare

October 06, 2014 // // SAN ANTONIO – Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers, widely recognized as the leading values-based, early-education childcare provider in the United States, announced today that it has signed a franchise agreement with local Helotes residents Amanda and David Palluch. The married, entrepreneurial couple will open the San Antonio area's seventh Children's Lighthouse Learning Center at 25576 Two Creeks Boulevard. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held in the coming weeks at the site of the future school.

"Parents want to know that their kids are in an environment where learning and fun come together in a way that promotes intellectual development, " said David. "Our kids have been students at the Children's Lighthouse Learning Center in Helotes. As parents, we saw the structure, facilities and teachers, and knew it was a place we wanted to send our kids. Now we are excited to add more opportunity for families to experience the Children's Lighthouse difference."

Professionally, David and Amanda come from corporate backgrounds. David is an experienced engineer and Amanda is a seasoned recruiter. The couple sees business ownership as something they can do together. They are excited to build the center from the ground up, and look forward to running it while enjoying the flexibility of spending nights and weekends with their children.

Typical Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers span 10,500 square feet, providing ample amount of space for children to learn in classroom and group settings, while also offering play areas both inside and out. On-site kitchens offer freshly prepared, healthy meals daily for students. Children Lighthouse serves families with kids just a few months old to 12 years old. In addition to childcare during traditional school hours, highly interactive after-school programs and summer-camps are available for kids up to age 12.

The learning centers are safe and secure environments that give parents peace of mind with online video links to rooms, computerized building entry, security monitoring and transportation to and from area elementary schools.

With experienced educational childcare professionals guiding the company's operations, Children's Lighthouse has embedded the Lighthouse C.A.R.E.S.™ curriculum into its programming at all existing and upcoming schools. The integrated learning strategies of C.A.R.E.S.™ focus on students' intellectual development, social and emotional growth, active learning through hands-on lessons and embedded content that emphasizes the fundamental basics of phonics, reading, math, science and social studies.

"We are growing into new communities with talented individuals like Amanda and David who share our passion for community, nurturing care and education," said Pat Brown, president and co-founder of Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers. "We couldn't be happier about adding another center to the San Antonio market and doing so with a team as gifted as the Palluchs. With their qualifications, Children's Lighthouse has a bright future ahead of itself in the region."

Along with the forthcoming San Antonio school, 20 new Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers are in development or under construction, preparing to join the 40 that are already operating. Additional schools are planned for Chicago, North Carolina and Texas.
