For the past 15 years, Hot Dish has embodied its tagline to be "franfocusedSM and brand focused" by providing franchise and consumer marketing and advertising services to more than 200 clients.
"We started the agency with a focus on brand building and retail marketing and advertising based on our previous experience," says Dawn Kane, president of Hot Dish Advertising. "We saw that most agencies were only familiar with speaking to the general consumer. They didn’t understand speaking to franchise prospects and presenting the franchise opportunity in a compelling way that would make them want to invest their savings."
Over the past 15 years, Hot Dish has helped small, local businesses grow into national brands. Some of the agency’s successes can be seen with Budget Blinds, which started with 300 locations and has grown to over 1,000, or Edible Arrangements which has grown from its 30 locations to over 1,000 since working with Hot Dish. "At the end of the day you are selling the brand. You have to market it as one voice but with different messaging for each side of the business and then it’s a win-win." says Kane.
Hot Dish Advertising’s vice president Jen Campbell believes that a major part of the agency’s success lies in their ability to understand the unique franchise market, and share their success stories with others. "We love sharing our client success stories and best practices for growing a brand as guest speakers at industry events," Campbell says. "Franchising is a very close knit industry and everyone is always willing to help each other.
