United Country Real Estate Reports Double-Digit Increases in Country Home Segment

The rural residential category was of particular note with strong double-digit growth over 2013 year-to-date.
According to Jason Cole, chief financial officer of United Country Real Estate, country homes posted a 49-percent increase in August and year-to-date increase of 10 percent. Additionally, land sales showed an increase of 12 percent for the month. The company's farm segment also showed signs of continued strength with a year-to-date sales volume increase of 35 percent.
"United Country's overall results were impressive both for August and year-to-date," said Cole. "We expect to see these good numbers continuing throughout the rest of the year."
United Country reported an increase in average sales prices as well, showing continued strength in non-urban markets nationwide. Across all sectors, the lifestyle real estate firm saw a 10-percent increase in the amount buyers were paying for rural real estate.
