East Dearborn, Mich. to be Newest Location for BIGGBY COFFEE

Local family will operate second location in area on Greenfield on Tuesday, Oct. 14

October 15, 2014 // Franchising.com // EAST LANSING, MI - BIGGBY COFFEE in East Dearborn, Mich. will open its doors Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at 3389 Greenfield Rd at the corner of Greenfield and Rotunda. This is in the historical area of Springwells Park. Operator Killoud Dabaja is excited for the store’s Grand Opening celebration which will feature a different drink special daily during opening week.

This is a family affair for Dabaja, whose brother Maher operates the store on Ford Road in Dearborn Heights. Although the family is newer to the BIGGBY COFFEE Franchise, they have been devoted family-business owners for a combined 36 years.

"We chose the BIGGBY franchise because we believe in Michigan based companies, since they provide a backbone for our state and communities," said Killoud Dabaja.

Hassan Dabaja, Maher and Killoud’s father, owns Dabaja Tire Center, a city landmark for the past 36 years. The new BIGGBY will be a place for friends, family and community members to gather for relaxation and fun.

"Being a younger entrepreneur and community activist, I hope I can inspire the younger generation that earning an honest living and working hard will get you closer to achieving your life goals," Killoud Dabaja said.

BIGGBY gave the Dabaja family the opportunity to serve their community by being the first BIGGBY franchisee to serve Halal meat products.

"We are greatly pleased that BIGGBY accommodated our community’s requests. They have shown us they are an open-minded company," said Hassan Dabaja.

The East Dearborn BIGGBY COFFEE location will have free Wi-Fi, specialty lattes, smoothies, tea and will feature Halal bragel sandwiches. Store hours will be Monday through Saturday 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
