Planet Beach Saudi Arabia Hosts Valuable Breast Cancer Event

October 21, 2014 // Franchising.com // NEW ORLEANS – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Planet Beach Saudi Arabia hosted an event on October 18th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. to honor survivors.

Planet Beach Saudi Arabia blanketed itself in pink, as they recognized breast cancer survivors and their families. Several area sponsors provided decorations and food to those in attendance.

"After last year's success, we decided to enlarge the festivities," said Planet Beach's Azhar Al-Fagih, who organized the event and handles daily operations for the spa. "We were fortunate enough to have Dr. Fadwa Alnahdi from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health speak at the event on the importance of early examination. We also hosted Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi, an obstetrics and gynecology specialist and breast cancer survivor. She gave all of our guests a voucher for a free breast mammogram and a copy of her inspiring book on survival, Breast Cancer: Break the Silence."

Sponsors of the event distributed pink flowers to attendees and each flower was attached with an inspiring quote on a pink card from Planet Beach.

"Our members were excited to help raise awareness to this very serious disease," said Al-Fagih. Raffles were held throughout the event for product bundles, gift certificates and other merchandise from Planet Beach.
