The Melting Pot to Celebrate Grand Opening of Mobile, Ala., Restaurant on Oct. 29

Leading Polished Casual Fondue Restaurant Expands Presence with Opening of Third Alabama Restaurant 

TAMPA, Fla. - Oct. 27, 2014 // PRNewswire // - The Melting Pot® Restaurants, Inc., the world's premier fondue restaurant and a leading polished casual dining franchise, announces its new Mobile, Ala., restaurant will open on Wednesday, Oct. 29 in the Mobile Festival Centre at 840 Montlimar Drive.

The new restaurant is owned and operated by Key Restaurant Group and will offer patrons a unique and memorable fondue dining experience in a polished casual atmosphere. There are currently two other Alabama Melting Pot locations in Birmingham and Huntsville, as well as restaurants in Pensacola and Destin, Fla.

• About 70 new team members hired in Mobile
• Approximately 6,100 square feet
• Seating for 175 customers
• Hours of operation are: Monday – Thursday 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., Friday 5 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Saturday 4 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. and Sunday 4 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Guests who dine at The Melting Pot this fall will have an opportunity to donate $10 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to receive a Donate and Dine card valid for $20 off a future purchase of $50 or more at The Melting Pot. This offer is available through Dec. 14 and 100 percent of donations will be given directly to St. Jude to fund lifesaving research and treatment of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

The Melting Pot is seeking entrepreneurs with business backgrounds and/or preferably restaurant experience who are passionate about the brand and want to be their own bosses. Franchisee candidates should have a credit score of 650 or higher, a minimum net worth of $750,000 and liquid assets of at least $325,000 per unit. Depending on the real estate site selected, franchisees can expect the total investment for one restaurant to be approximately $977,000 to $1,436,000. Single-unit and multi-unit franchise opportunities are available with an initial franchise fee of $45,000 per unit.
