House of Bread is Celebrating 18 Years in Business on November 11th

San Luis Obispo, Ca. (PRWEB) November 02, 2014 - Not just any birthday, but eighteen years of baking delicious and nutritious bread since November 11, 1996. Sheila McCann founder of House of Bread recalls signing her name to endorse her last paycheck as a public defender on November 1st eighteen years ago. "My hand was shaking so bad as it hit me, this is the last regular paycheck that I had to get out of the line at the bank to settle myself-now, eighteen years later, I celebrate the fact I overcame my fears of what if and followed my dream of owning my own bakery." Sheila looks back on the decision to quit her job and start own business as one of the best decisions she has ever made. "As a young attorney in the public defenders office, I wanted to help ensure poor people had good legal representation but the overwhelming negativity began to wear on my natural positive outlook and in one particular case, brought me to tears-and that's when I knew I had to do something different" states Sheila. As part of the eighteen year anniversary celebration, House of Bread San Luis Obispo will be giving away cinnamon rolls to all customers. House of Bread is very honored to have been a part of the San Luis Obispo community for all these years and looks forward to another eighteen years of baking great bread.

The House of Bread Bakery makes everything from scratch daily providing families with the most nutritious bakery products available. Customers get to watch and participate in weekly classes on bread making. The recipes have been in the family for decades, but Sheila has always felt that sharing her love of bread making and what she learned making bread with her Grandma years ago on their Montana ranch was giving something back to the community she serves.
