Steamatic, Inc. Establishes the Lindy Berry Memorial Scholarship Program

November 04, 2014 // Franchising.com // Fort Worth, Texas – Steamatic, Inc., the industry leader in cleaning and restoration services in more than 500 franchise territories in the United States and 25 countries around the world, has established the Steamatic Lindy Berry Memorial Scholarship Program. The Scholarship Program will award five $1,000 scholarships in 2014 and is designed to provide financial assistance to Steamatic franchisees, their children and grandchildren who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The Scholarship Program is named after Lindy Berry who passed away in April 2014. Berry spent the majority of his professional career as vice president and general manager of Steamatic, Inc. Before that, he was an All-American football player at TCU. His peers and colleagues see his accomplishments as an inspiring example of leadership, character and integrity.

"Lindy spearheaded our organization for a long time and has played an incredible role in our success," said Bill Sims, chairman of Steamatic, Inc. "We are grateful to honor his life with the Scholarship Program. He was always looking to help others, and I believe he would be very proud of providing financial assistance to Steamatic franchisees and their families."

Administered by Scholarship Management Services, the awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin. Scholarship Management Services is the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals.
