la Madeleine® Fills Holiday Season with a Festive Array of French Countryside Flavors

Handcrafted Holiday Specialty Sandwiches, Entrées, Sides and Desserts Made From Scratch Using Classic French Techniques

November 06, 2014 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – It's the most wonderful time of the year…and la Madeleine Country French Café is unwrapping an abundance of the season's favorite flavors.

The beloved brand revered for its country French recipes handcrafted and served in a warm, relaxing environment, today announced the debut of its holiday seasonal menu. Now through the end of December at its 70-plus cafés nationwide, guests can gather to savor a new flavor of the season every day.

"Gearing up for the holidays at la Madeleine is always a busy time. When we took a second to count, we realized that we have 18 handmade holiday recipes. We bring back many of these recipes each year, but allow ourselves the fun of creating a little something new like our White Chocolate Raspberry Cake." said Susan Dederen, vice president of culinary for la Madeleine Country French Café. "Holidays are the best time of the year for sharing an authentic country French meal with your friends and family around our fireplace."

A pair of la Madeleine's most celebrated holiday favorites, the classic Turkey Cranberry Melt and the divine Turkey Cranberry Risotto, are back. Bursting with freshness and an array of flavors, the Turkey Cranberry Melt features oven-roasted turkey, homemade cranberry-apple stuffing, cranberry-orange chutney and provolone cheese layered on a warm cranberry orange ciabatta roll. It includes the choice of Caesar salade, tomato basil pesto pasta or salt and pepper chips.

The Turkey Cranberry Risotto will evoke a true joie de vivre (joy of life), blending creamy Parmesan risotto with oven-roasted turkey and cranberries. Fresh tomato, green onions and more Parmesan top the dish as tasty garnishes. Served with a warm, freshly-baked sourdough breadstick, the risotto is too good to miss.

For guests with an insatiable appetite for the tastes of Thanksgiving, the Holiday Feast for One features slices of tender oven-roasted turkey with creamy wild mushroom sauce alongside sautéed green beans almondine, homemade cranberry-apple stuffing and orange cranberry chutney.

And, a visit to la Madeleine during the holidays would not be complete without a sampling of the brand's holiday Patisseries. From a slice of incredibly moist White Chocolate Raspberry Cake to smaller treats like the Peppermint Mocha Parfait or Gingerbread Crème Brulee, la Madeleine is the ultimate place to enjoy the sweet flavors of the season.

Expanded holiday pâtisserie offerings include the Grand Chocolate Tart, Grand Lemon Tart, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Tart and Chocolate-Dipped Coconut Macaroon. La Madeleine's traditional Bûche de Noël and legendary Linzer Cookies will make their return after Thanksgiving.

La Madeleine for the holidays extends beyond guests' experience in the café. The brand offers Holiday Feasts for the home and office.
