Liberty Tax Service Creates New, Hispanic-Focused Brand – SiempreTax+

Company's goal is to better serve one of America's fastest-growing ethnic groups.

November 07, 2014 // Franchising.com // Virginia Beach, VA – Liberty Tax, Inc. (NASDAQ: TAX), the parent company of Liberty Tax Service, announced today the launch of SiempreTax+, a national tax preparation brand focused on the unique and diverse needs of the Hispanic community.

SiempreTax+ is an independent brand under the Liberty Tax umbrella. Siempre means "always" and conveys the brand's customer service values – always accurate, open year-round, and always there for customers. Siempre will provide tax preparation plus a wide array of services and solutions for Spanish-speaking customers in the language they prefer – English or Spanish. One important service will be Siempre's assistance in helping customers understand the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and their responsibilities under the law. Siempre will host ACA seminars and provide materials in Spanish that will be tailored to specific situations most likely to affect SiempreTax+ customers.

SiempreTax+ will also offer driver's license assistance, notary services and immigration help. The company will help non-citizens apply for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) at no charge. The ITIN offers a means to obtaining a credit card or opening a bank account. Perhaps even more important, the ITIN, along with filing taxes each year, helps establish a record of residency in the United States.

When you look at the growth in the Hispanic market and the lack of reliable tax preparation services available to that market, you have to realize there's an opportunity there to give customers what they need and desire."

Carlos Perez has been named COO of SiempreTax+. Perez brings 22 years of experience in direct sales. Most recently Perez managed his own consulting business, Capersons, which helped other companies expand their presence in Latin America and grow the U.S. Hispanic market. Before that, Perez was president of Kitchen Fair, a division of Regal Ware. Perez led international sales and marketing strategies for the company which manufactures high-quality cookware.
