Once Upon a Fish Tale: Joey's Rapala Fishing Photo Contest Winners

November 3, 2014 Calgary, Alberta - Although it's known that a picture is worth a thousand words, this summer, five lucky contestants' pictures were worth a generous Rapala prize package consisting of top quality fishing gear.

Through the months of June to September, Joey's Seafood Restaurants held their third annual national Rapala Fishing Photo & Video Contest, a contest in which participants could submit their original fishing photos or Videos on the Joey's Seafood Restaurants Facebook fan page, along with a story explaining the photo or video, for a chance to win one of five Rapala prize packages. Winners were selected based on quality, composition, and creativity.

The grand prize winner, Arlene Laughren, of North Bay, Ontario, submitted a photo of her two Granddaughters, at Lake Nosbonsing, Corbeil, ON; a place where they catch Sunfish one after another all day long. The photo submitted was the biggest one they ever caught! With this winning submission, Arlene reeled in a grand prize consisting of $500 worth of Rapala fishing gear.

Four secondary prize winners also submitted great fishing photos, along with great fishing photos, to win $125 Rapala prize packages. The secondary prize winners from all around Canada are:

• Matthew Ceci – Brantford, Ontario
• Brian Hardy – Kitchener, Ontario
• Walc – Winnipeg, Manitoba
• Lucas Marshall – Medicine Hat, Alberta

Joey's Seafood Restaurant in North Bay, is happy to present Arlene her prize package on November 15, 2014. At the Joey's North Bay Restaurant between 12pm(noon) and 1pm.
