December 08, 2014 // Franchising.com // KANSAS CITY, Mo. – As a continuation of the strategic partnership with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, United Country has sent a team of representatives to promote land ownership to conservation-minded people around the United States. This year's annual Elk Camp held by the RMEF, is being conducted in conjunction with the National Finals Rodeo, the Cowboy Christmas and the Hunter Christmas Show in Las Vegas this weekend.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for us to talk directly with the people that love to hunt and recreate on the lands that we know are critical for big game to flourish for generations to come," said Mike Duffy, president of United Country Real Estate. "We enjoy working with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation on a grassroots level through their local chapter events, as well as, big national events such as these."
Since 1984, the REMF has permanently protected more than 1,700 square miles of prime habitat for elk and other wildlife across the country. The RMEF's Habitat Stewardship Program is comprised of three elements: habitat enhancement, wildlife management and research. United Country – the largest source of rural real estate property in the nation – works closely with REMF as a strategic partner locating suitable tracts of land to support the organization's vital mission.
"Land has continued to be a driving factor in United Country's sales figures in 2014," said Jason Cole, chief financial officer form United Country Real Estate. "As of October, total land sales volume increased 5 percent with farms leading the category by an impressive boost of 25 percent over 2013 numbers."
Representatives will be manning booth number 3101 throughout the event to discuss conservation efforts and real estate opportunities.
