The renowned company is known for serving hand-selected oils, vinegars, spices, spirits and gourmet foods. In celebration of their anniversary, franchise partners and producers from around the globe attended the annual conference at the VOM FASS home base in Waldburg, Germany. Franchise partners came together to hear the latest marketing success stories and share some of the best practices discovered during the year. In addition to a strong educational component, the gathering also served as an opportunity to showcase new and exclusive VOM FASS products as well as present a new show kitchen at VOM FASS corporate Headquarters.
"It's always great to bring the entire VOM FASS extended franchise family together at our home base in Germany," said Justin Gibson, president of VOM FASS USA. "We were thrilled to provide the opportunity for our partners to learn from experts and exchange ideas and experiences with fellow US and international franchise partners."
Franchise partners enjoyed a memorable evening at "Cirque de VOM FASS" Gala Dinner in VOM FASS' stunning cellar as part of the incredible conference. Celebrity Chef, Robert Speth of the prestigious Chesery in Gstaad, presented gourmet dishes emphasizing elegantly simple cuisine created around the very best, freshest ingredients. There were performances from magicians, former Cirque du Soleil performers from around the world and live music.
After the 2014 Annual Conference, the VOM FASS team continued their international journey on a European road trip visiting artisan producers in Italy and Scotland. 260 franchise partners connected personally with VOM FASS producers and had the opportunity to see where the products originate. The VOM FASS family was invited to enjoy lunch and dinner at the producers' homes while learning the whole production process from the experts.
"The learning experience was outstanding," said Samira Esfahani, VOM FASS marketing director. "It really was eye opening to walk through the groves where our olives are grown and to see the product that's going to be on our shelves. How wonderful is that!"
The itinerary also included visits and tastings at producers of pasta, wine, grappa, infused extra-virgin olive oils in Italy, distillery tours in Scotland and a master scotch class with legendary Scotch Master Blender Stewart Laing in Scotland. The trip culminated with an extravagant cocktail reception and dinner at Hunter Laing and Company in Glasgow, Scotland.
"The feedback from our franchise partners has been extremely positive. It's a reflection of just how strong the VOM FASS family has become," noted Gibson, who brought the company to the U.S. in 2007 after falling in love with concept while studying in Germany. "We're on a trajectory to have more than 100 offices open in the next few years of franchising.
