Froots to Open in South Florida

International quick serve restaurant franchise, Froots, launches new location in Hollywood Hills

December 23, 2014 // Franchising.com // Hollywood, FL. - Froots Fresh Smoothies, Shakes, Juices & More, an international quick serve restaurant franchise, has announced an all-new location for the Hollywood, Florida community. Owned and operated by John Persico, the new Froots, located at 4933 Sheridan Street in Hollywood Hills, will celebrate a grand opening event January, with special deals on healthy fast food alternatives.

"I am very pleased to be a part of the Froots family and am looking forward to providing my community fresh and delicious alternatives," said John Persico, Froots franchise owner. "I am given a lot of creative freedom to grow and expand my business within this franchise model and I know my customers will appreciate the exclusive menu items we plan to develop."

Not a typical juice bar or smoothie shop, all Froots locations serve healthy food options for lunch and dinner such as wraps, sandwiches, and salads. Available as standalone stores or kiosks for malls, airports, universities and more, each new franchise owner should expect approximately three months to open from securing financing and location.

"In our location's neighborhood, there are not a lot of fast food options let alone healthy alternatives," said Persico. "We're looking forward to building a customer base built on familiar faces and new patrons looking for a go-to restaurant that's focused on health just as much as taste."

Froots began franchising in 2004, three years after the company was founded. With nearly 30 fully operational locations already, both nationally and internationally, the quick restaurant was named one of the fastest growing franchises by Franchise Times and has made Entrepreneur Magazine's "Franchise 500" list three times.

Persico comes to Froots from the medical industry where he worked in a number of executive positions for a Florida-based blood center. Attracted to the restaurant for its healthy options, flexibility and franchise support, Persico started his ownership in late 2014 after visiting another South Florida franchise. The new restaurant is the sixth Froots location in Florida and resides in the same location as a former Froots franchise.
