Wendy's Shines a Spotlight on Foster Care Adoption with National Key Tag Program

DUBLIN, Ohio - Jan. 7, 2015 // PRNewswire // - What a sweet way to start the New Year! Today Wendy's® announced the launch of its second annual National Frosty® Key Tag Program. For $1, Wendy's customers can buy a Frosty Key Tag that gets them a free Jr. Frosty with every purchase during 2015, while supplies last. Ninety cents from every dollar will go to help find families for children in foster care through the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®.

Last year's Frosty Key Tag Program raised more than $2.9 million and kicked off a four-part national cause marketing effort for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA). Started by Wendy's Founder Dave Thomas, who was adopted himself, the DTFA works in communities across the U.S. and Canada to help dramatically increase the number of adoptions for children in foster care.

"Right now, there are more than 100,000 children in foster care in the United States waiting to be adopted.
