It's Baaack! Art Van Furniture "Let It Snow" Promotion Extended For One Day Only January 17

To Give Chicagoland Shoppers Another Opportunity To Get Full Refunds On All Purchases!

Encore shopping spree could save consumers millions if it snows three inches or more Super Football Sunday

WARREN, Mich. - Jan. 13, 2015 // PRNewswire // - Thousands of New Year's Day shoppers flocked to Art Van Furniture's six Chicagoland stores on New Year's Day hoping to receive full refunds (including sales tax and delivery fees) on all furniture, mattresses and clearance center items they purchased if it snows three inches or more on Super Football Sunday, February 1! In fact, there was so much excitement surrounding the "Let It Snow" promotion that the Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer is repeating the promotion for one day only on Saturday, January 17 so that even more guests can participate. The campaign could be a windfall (or more accurately, a snowfall) for consumers with the potential to be a multimillion dollar giveaway.

The "Let It Snow" promotion is open to all in-store shoppers who make any purchase between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on January 17, 2015 at Art Van Furniture's six Chicagoland locations:

  • 165 North Randall Road in Batavia, IL
  • 7200 South Cicero Avenue in Bedford Park, IL
  • 2606 North Elston Avenue in Chicago, IL
  • 15080 South LaGrange Road in Orland Park, IL
  • 900 East Boughton Road in Woodridge (Bolingbrook), IL
  • 1600 East 80th Avenue in Merrillville, IN

If Chicago's O'Hare Airport Weather Station measures a snowfall of three inches or more on February 1, 2015 between 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., all eligible Art Van Furniture guests who shopped on January 1 and 17, 2015 will receive a full refund on their New Year's Day purchases.

"Instead of pennies from heaven, we are hoping for snowflakes from heaven," said Art Van Elslander, founder and chairman of Art Van Furniture. "The big game on Super Football Sunday won't be the only cause for celebration if three inches of snow falls in Chicago. I'll be cheering as loudly as our guests if Art Van Furniture gives away millions of dollars in furniture and mattresses."

If recent history repeats itself, the chances of snow are good. On February 1, 2011, 13.6 inches of snow fell at Chicago's O'Hare Airport on February 1, 2011. No minimum purchase is required. For complete details, visit
