Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. Awarded Contract for Minnesota's Largest School District

In Compliance With the Smart Snack Regulations Set Forth by the Federal Government, Anoka-Hennepin School District Has Granted the Leading Healthy Franchisor the Right to Furnish Snack and Beverage Vending Services in Its Middle School and High School Locations

SAN DIEGO, CA - (Marketwired - Feb 18, 2015) - Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. (OTCQB: VEND), the leading healthy vending franchisor, has been awarded a 1.5 year contract to place healthy snack and beverage choices in Minnesota's largest school district. As part of this agreement with the Anoka-Hennepin School District, Fresh Healthy Vending will also provide the school district with a Fresh grant.

Franchisees Steve and Misty Paparella of Tasty and Healthy Vending have already begun placing machines in the district, which serves approximately 38,000 students in 24 elementary schools, six middle schools and five high schools, plus alternative middle and high school sites.

"We believe this contract and the resulting placement of vending machines will be a valuable addition for our Minnesota franchisee, Tasty and Healthy Vending," said Art Budman, CEO of Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. "Knowing this, our team worked hard and put forth the necessary efforts to secure this contract, showcasing Fresh Healthy Vending's continual commitment to securing locations for its existing franchise network."

The partnership between Fresh Healthy Vending and Anoka-Hennepin is intended to align students' snack and beverage vending machine choices with the federal regulations regarding Smart Snacks contained in the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010. The machines will provide students with access to healthy snack and beverage options such as smoothies, natural juices, fruit, granola bars, baked chips and natural sodas.

"The Anoka-Hennepin School District and its desire to provide healthy options for students and staff is just one example of the increased shift towards healthy vending," said Budman. "We're proud to be at the forefront of this movement, securing qualified locations for which we provide comprehensive and effective solutions for healthy options across the country."

This partnership, in conjunction with other educational facilities secured by Fresh Healthy Vending every month, is part of a larger effort to showcase the positive effects that nutrition in the school environment can have both on and off campus.
