New Planet Fitness Comes to Orange, TX

Planet Fitness franchise announces the opening of new location in the Triangle!

ORANGE, Texas - March 9, 2015 // PRNewswire // - Planet Fitness, the innovative health club franchise known for its Judgement Free Zone® and affordable prices, announced a new location coming to the Orangehurst Shopping Center on MacArthur Drive in the old Market Basket space. The 17,000sf club is slated to open by the end of April 2015 with the membership presale office opening in late March. "Our Planet Fitness locations have been well received in both Beaumont and Groves," said Trey Owen, franchisee with 10+ locations across the state. "We are very excited to bring Planet Fitness to Orange County rounding out access to 3 different locations across the entire Golden Triangle!" In addition to the new club in Orange, Owen will also open clubs in San Angelo and Seguin this spring. All the new clubs will be open and staffed 24/7 once opened.

Known as The Judgement Free Zone®, Planet Fitness stands apart from other health clubs by providing a relaxed, non-intimidating atmosphere. "Because we are focused on general fitness, intimidating behavior such as grunting or dropping weights is not allowed. We have an obligation to maintain a comfortable, non-intimidating atmosphere for our members," Owen said. "Because many of our members are novice or first-time health club users, we have a fitness trainer on staff providing instruction and guidance free of charge," Owen continued. Fitness instruction sessions called PE@PF, in a small-group setting, are available throughout the week and are always included in every membership.

The $2 million facility will feature a wide variety of brand new equipment. The heart of Planet Fitness offers an extensive selection (over 80 pieces) of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, arc trainers, and stationary bikes all pointed at 70" televisions for member entertainment while working out. Planet Fitness also offers a popular 30-minute PF Express circuit room, dedicated abs/stretching room, a full complement of user-friendly strength equipment and full locker rooms that include free day-use lockers, private changing rooms and tile showers. "You get all this for only $10/month. The value is second to none," said Owen.

The club will offer a Black Card Zone featuring tanning, HydroMassage® beds, massage chairs, and a total body enhancement booth (Beauty Angel). The Black Card membership also includes free guest privileges, reciprocal use of all Planet Fitness locations across the US and Canada (currently more than 900) and 50% off on all cooler drinks. The Black Card Membership is only $19.99 per month.
