Local Aire Serv Recieves Quincy Hospitality House Sponsor of the Year Award

March 11, 2015 // Franchising.com // QUINCY, Ill. – Aire Serv of Quincy has received the Quincy Hospitality House Corporate Sponsor of the Year award for their continued support of the house throughout 2014 on Feb. 21.

David and Janet Arns, owners of Aire Serv of Quincy, received the award from Quincy Hospitality House board member, Ron Tallcott.

“We humbly accepted our Corporate Partner of the Year award because we just didn’t expect it. We just do what we do,” said David Arns.

Quincy Hospitality House is a home for patients and families to rest while receiving healthcare in Quincy. The house has been operating in Quincy since 1998.

This past year, Aire Serv of Quincy built new shelving units down in the basement of the house so paper products could be kept off the ground. The shelves also allow for the house to be better organized. Aire Serv of Quincy purchased all the supplies and materials as well as provided all of the labor.

Over the last two years, Aire Serv of Quincy has sponsored the Duct Tape Ball in support of Quincy Hospitality House. The ball is a diner and dance fundraiser to raise support for the home. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in duct tape attire. They are then judged to see who is the best dressed. There is also an auction to raise additional funds for the house.

“It only makes sense that since we are a company that works with ducts that we would make a good fit for being their primary sponsor for the Duct Tape Ball,” said David Arns. “The Duct Tape Ball is one of the main events we’ve done.”

Aire Serv of Quincy started donating their time to the Quincy Hospitality House four years ago. Aire Serv members had a "Serve the Community Weekend," initiated by their church. Everybody from the church picked an organization to donate time toward. The Aire Serv team had ten men and women who went to the house, scraped and repainted the gutters, trim and railings of the house.
