Bruegger’s Bagels Debuts Third Installment Of 'Behind The Taste' Video Series
Newest Segment Features Signature Smoked Salmon
March 05, 2015 // Franchising.com // BURLINGTON, Vt. – Bruegger’s Bagels, known for freshly baked, authentic New York-style bagels, has unveiled the third vignette in its “Behind the Taste” video series that gives fans an inside look at the people and traditions behind the brand.
The latest video can be viewed at www.BehindTheTaste.com. It features Tom Higgins of Spence & Co., Ltd., a long time business partner located in Brockton, Massachusetts, who honors old world traditions to supply Bruegger’s with one of its most popular menu items,100% oak wood smoked salmon.
“Our ‘Behind the Taste’ series shines a light on the unique stories of our artisans to give viewers a closer look at what our brand stands for,” said Bruegger’s Bagels Vice President of Marketing Judy Kadylak. “We are dedicated to providing the best, high-quality ingredients to our guests and settle for nothing less than the same standard and passion from our vendors.”
Just as Bruegger’s Bagels continues to use the 100-year-old traditional New York-style baking method to make each batch of bagels, Spence & Co. also maintains the motto that it must “emulate the past to preserve the future” by smoking salmon the same way its founder Alan Spence did back in 1889.
At the end of the video, viewers will receive a coupon that they can redeem in store for a free package of smoked salmon or a smoked salmon sandwich.
Additional vignettes feature a bagel expert who has been with the company for more than 25 years, demonstrating the traditional 100-year-old New York-style baking method and simple ingredients that Bruegger’s Bagels still uses to this day; a tour with a dairyman who produces the company’s 100 percent made-in-Vermont cream cheese. In April, an interview with a lively pair of brothers who create the company’s famous sun dried tomato spread will be introduced.
