Business Owner and Boise Native Wins Kid to Kid Store of the Month Award

Boise, ID (PRWEB) March 19, 2015 - The Kid to Kid franchise proudly awarded its Store of the Month award for February to Bill Long, owner of Kid to Kid in Boise, ID for outstanding increases in sales, invoices and customer satisfaction.

The Boise Kid to Kid store was selected from over 100 franchisees across the country and in Europe to earn the Store of the Month award. “February was a tough month for all retailers with harsh weather across much of the country, but Bill and his team defied the odds, achieving a 27 percent increase in sales,” commented Shauna Sloan, founder of Kid to Kid.

“Running a successful franchise takes a strong team, and my manager, Wendy, keeps ours focused on the things that matter,” said Bill. “Our customers love shopping and selling at our store because my team makes sure we are stocked with items their kids need, and makes it easy to sell what their kids have outgrown.”

This is Bill’s second franchise experience. He previously was a franchise owner of an Eat-A-Burger restaurant in Boise. Bill’s wife discovered Kid to Kid while shopping for their children, and immediately fell in love with the resale concept. In 2004, Bill opened his first Kid to Kid and left the fast food industry.

“My wife saw that there was a need for a high quality used clothing store in our area,” Bill stated. “That’s why we decided to become a Kid to Kid franchisee over ten years ago. Next month, we will be expanding into a larger facility so we can continue helping Boise families.”

The new Kid to Kid store is located in Meridian, ID, a suburb of Boise, with a planned open date of April 30th. It will be paired with a new Uptown Cheapskate store, a sister concept to Kid to Kid specializing in gently used trendy fashions for teens and young adults.

A growing number of franchise owners either own multiple Kid to Kid stores or own a combination of Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate stores. “I can apply a lot of what I learned from when I first opened my Kid to Kid location to my new Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate stores,” continued Bill. “And with the franchise systems already in place and marketing materials readily available, it just makes sense to expand and grow.”
