Caring Transitions is America’s largest resource specializing in managing relocations for seniors and busy families, as well as downsizing and estate liquidations. In addition to the organizing, packing and move oversight, Caring Transitions can handle on-site and online estate sales, liquidations, and preparing homes for market.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) March 24, 2015 - Three long-time friends are looking forward to making a positive impact on their community while making their entrepreneurial dreams come true through their new business, Caring Transitions - Twin Cities West Metro.

Caring Transitions – Twin Cities West Metro serves Maple Grove, Plymouth, Minnetonka, Hopkins, Wayzata and the Lake Minnetonka communities.

This business is owned by Colleen and Erick Osburn as well as their friend of more than 20 years, Jerry LaRochelle. Colleen built her career in human resources in the retail and hospitality industries, while Erick and Jerry have both worked in distribution, logistics and project management roles for the last 20 years.

“Our more than 60 years of combined experience working in the corporate world has given us a true appreciation for the value of delivering great customer service. The key to doing that is to truly listen. If you have a clear understanding of what your customer needs, you will be able to develop a comprehensive plan that not only meets their needs but exceeds them,” Colleen said. “We’re looking forward to being a trusted resource for our neighbors and people throughout the Twin Cities. As we’ve shared our new venture with others, we have been amazed at the excited responses we’ve received. They’re thrilled that there is a company out there that offers such comprehensive services and agree that there is a significant need for them in our communities.”

Opening the business all began when Erick heard about Caring Transitions from two different friends – a former co-worker and a high school classmate – who both opened franchises in 2013. Colleen and Erick were already considering opening a business of their own, but they weren’t sure what direction that would take.

“We wanted to be part of something larger than ourselves and to make an impact within our community. When we looked into what the company does, we knew it was something we wanted to consider. The services Caring Transitions provides for individuals in transition and their families can truly make a difference,” Erick said.

Bringing Jerry into the mix began one day before a Vikings game.

“Erick and I were talking about how we both wanted to explore opportunities outside of the corporate world that would impact others in a different way. When we began to discuss opening a Caring Transitions, we felt the three of us had the right experience and mindset to make opening this kind of franchise a successful endeavor for us and for our community,” Jerry said.

“We got into this not just because we wanted to build a business, but also because we wanted to make a difference in the lives of people in our community. We’re looking forward to making those connections, and supporting individuals and their families during what is often a very difficult time,” Colleen added.

Whether your situation is planned or unexpected, Caring Transitions’ services are perfect for busy families, seniors moving in with family or into a safer living situation, or families clearing out the home of a loved one who has passed. Caring Transitions is a trusted and highly respected national company leading the way in senior relocation, household liquidations and estate sale management in more than 150 locations across the United States.

“I lost my last grandmother in September and as we’ve gone through the training and the process of launching this business, it’s all really resonated with me. My mother downsized and moved my grandmother into a senior living facility, and then had to relocate her three times within the facility as her care needs progressed. I know Caring Transitions can make that entire process easier and less stressful for seniors and their families. My family would have happily been clients if Caring Transitions had been available,” Colleen said. “We are truly grateful to have this opportunity to help individuals and families manage the numerous obstacles that present themselves when these situations arise.”

Erick and Colleen live in Maple Grove with their three children, Maddie, Grace and Alex. Jerry currently resides in Roseville.
